Attraction Information
Polkemmet Country Park offers beautiful woodland and riverside walks, a great natural style adventure play area, with nearby picnic areas with seating and a barbecue facility.
It's abundant in natural bird and wild life, including deer, fox, heron, water vole, bat and badger plus its own regional variety of white squirrel! Gold star for spotting that one! For older types the Park also runs a proper golf course with driving range and also a bowling green.
The Visitor Centre can be found in the old stable complex and offers a warm welcome plus local information and advice, along with interpretative educational displays and cafe. It also handles all bookings for the golf, driving range, BBQs and Ranger Service.
The Countryside Ranger Service handle (amongst other things) school visits, outdoor activities, presentations and summer events, so they're your Go To guys for advice on general Countryside matters.
Polkemmet is well served for parking, with two main car parks and an overspill for the busiest days. There are two disabled bays, located close to the Visitor Centre, and the other side of the car park you can find The Scottish Owl Centre too.
