Attraction Information
The stunning Plodda Falls waterfall is 151 feet (46 metres) tall, inside Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, surrounding by majestic Douglas firs whose needles smell of tangerines. Bliss! It's undisputedly the tallest and most spectacular waterfall in the region and the journey to and from it is beautiful too!
The new viewing platform at the River Affric offers a fantastic view from the top of the falls. In the areas surrounding this is it not uncommon to see red deer, golden eagles and mountain hares. You can find the River Affric car park at the end of the pubic road, so this is actually a great place to start and then wend your way around to the falls from another angle when you fancy getting your hike on! Don't be fooled though, once you set foot in the place that's it: no phone signal, no GPS help, no shops no loos no retreat and no surrender! Basically what we're saying is pack everything you will (or might!) need and take it with you! You can't even trust our postcode for the place, as it's just their best guess! So be sure to plan ahead and take your map or you'll be getting more adventure than you signed on for!
