Catch a glimpse of Cornwall's pirating past as you embark on a swashbucklin' adventure at Pirate's Quest. Previously known as Buccaneer Bay, Pirate's Quest is an immersive walk-through experience for young and old pirates alike.
Your hour long adventure begins with a real-life pirate helping you escape a shipwreck. You will then be lead through mystical caves, murky streets and even an eighteenth century tavern. Once you arrive at the Captain's Ship, you'll be ready to set sail on the Buccaneer!
Housed in the historic old Newquay Theatre, Pirate's Quest provides a unique theatrical experience for families. If you feel brave enough, you can also enter the Sunken Village of the Damned. Venture in to the depths of the Locker of Davey Jones, a passage filled with screams and laughter. For those kids (or parents!) who don't fancy a scare, there is a safe path you can easily take instead.
You will encounter several pirate guides on your journey, telling you all about different aspects of pirate life and also some of the history and legends of the area. Find out about the dangers of sailing the Cornish coast, what rules need to be obeyed...and what happens if you break them!

We took our 4 year old to Pirate Quest today ( for the 3rd time. ) She just loves it, and no visit to Cornwall is now complete without going to see the pirates! The pirates and crew are all brilliant with kids, and the Pirate Quest experience is both entertaining and historical ( do you know why pirates wear eye patches? )The history of Cornwall piracy is a great story, told by several pirates that accompany you on your journey. Search for clues, and pick up some treasure at the end of your quest..........
