Nature lovers and bird watchers will find plenty to pique their interest at Pensthorpe Natural Park. Home to grey-crowned cranes, red squirrels and Hootz the owl, the park was crowned Norfolk's Best Large Attraction. With over 7,000 acres to explore, what more do you need?
Located alongside the river Wensum there are lots of creepy crawlies to spy, so join the team on a bug walk through the woodlands and along the riverbed and lakes. There are four gorgeous gardens to enjoy - including the stunning Millennium Garden - which are a lovely counterpoint to the local wildflower meadows.
Kids can have a hoot at the WildRootz outdoor adventure playground, or scoot indoors to the award winning Hootz House play area. Both are huge and will have your littluns tuckered out in no time. The smallest members of the gang can also get stuck in at a dedicated soft play area, while everyone can enjoy a home-cooked meal at the Courtyard Café. Top tip: hop on the Pensthorpe Explorer and explore the secret side of Wensum Valley.

Beautiful place with plenty of lovely walks to do. Stamp trails for the children. Nice indoor play area with a separate area for toddlers and older children have big slides and various features to explore. The outside play area is great too. We've had season passes before and the children never get bored of going there. Food and gift shop are a little overpriced.
