Attraction Information
A trip aboard an Edwardian River Launch in Oxford offers a taste of a slower life, along the same stretch of river which inspired Lewis Carroll! You can enjoy an informative guided experience which brings the sights and scenes of collegiate Oxford to life for the uninitiated, a wonderful chance to explore the area with the kids where everyone in the family is captivated one way or another.
A variety of cruise types on offer to suit all requirements, educational and guided, quiet with snacks, long and historical - plus there are many differing seasonal time slots so even with the public tours you can tailor the trip to your preference. This is a literal choice with the private hire when any number of additional routes and variances become available, so well worth considering if you have a large group or want to see something in particular. It should be noted however that wheelchair access is not available on any of them, nor are pushchairs able to be carried.
Public cruises depart from their moorings at the address given and have a nice little cover atop the fleet, so one needn't worry about repelling those 2 stalwarts of British Summer from the kids: scorching sunshine and drizzling rain! All in all a comfortable, affordable and memorable way to view Oxford.
