Attraction Information
Children will love the Swiss Chalet at Osborne House where the princes and princesses learnt the skills of household management, while for grown-ups there's the Victorian Walled Garden, now restored to its former glory! With its noble setting and wonderful views across the Solent, Osborne House fully deserves its place as one of the most appreciated visitor attractions in the Isle of Wight.
There's a pushchair park at the entrance thereafter you must carry or use one of their baby slings, which they'll happily lend you. Kids are certainly welcome as there's a children's play area located near the visitor car park, with picnic space on the side of it. There are kids' trails and activity sheets available on request plus the kids are welcome to tear around the grounds too!
Free parking 50m from reception centre, and additional parking a further 230m from the house entrance, though disabled guests may be let out at the entrance itself. There are 4 dining options: the a la carte Terrace Restaurant, a self-service cafe, the Swiss Cottage refresher stand, and the Beach Cafe offering, amongst other things, great local ice cream!
