Attraction Information
Northaw Great Wood is one of Hertfordshire's largest remaining historic wood pasture commons and should be enjoyed while it lasts! It comprises open bracken glades and wide rides with oak, hornbeam and birch woodland so it supports a wide ecosystem of natural wildlife especially fungi and butterflies. Brilliant for going on mini beast safaris!
Other than you'll need to rely on yourselves for entertainment which is all as it should be! Best take a selection of outdoor toys and games to keep everybody happy along of course with a spanking picnic if you wouldn't mind! Thanks!
Easiest entrances for pedestrians are off Carbone Hill and the Ridgeway in Cuffley where the entrance to the car park is. There are loos there too open daily until 5pm.
Please note that the given address is for the main entrance, which is near but not quite at where you can park. Entrances for pedestrians are off Carbone Hill and The Ridgeway in Cuffley. The entrance to the car park is also on the The Ridgeway.
