Attraction Information
There are over 300 acres of the Normanby Hall Country Park, which ranges from wildflower meadows to mature woodland with oodles of birds and butterflies, with an orienteering pack available from reception to help explore the nature trails.
Plus, there's the Deer Park where herds of red and fallow deer are allowed free access and are often content for you to be relatively close to them. Sometimes not though!
The Adventure Playground offers plenty of sturdy equipment as well as host of ducks and peacocks who tend to hang around the pond. The charming miniature railway runs most Sundays throughout the summer too.
The Victorian Walled Garden and Victorian era buildings scattered about are a great chance for a little secret schooling, a wonderful example of a traditional kitchen garden.
Free tours are available of Normanby Hall, where you can learn about life in the privileged household, plus the Farming Museum offers loads of fun recreations of vintage settings and several kids' quiz trails, as well as activity table and pedal tractors which come out every afternoon.
