Experience life under the sea with thousands of weird and wonderful sea creatures. The National Marine Aquarium is simply a must see.
It’s the largest aquarium in the UK, boasting tanks teeming with sharks, rays, tarpon and countless other species, all circling a sunken WWII seaplane. There are six fabulous aquariums to dive into; from ‘Ocean Drifters’, the Biozone, onto The Great Barrier Reef and finishing up with the Lost at Sea Exhibition. And of course don’t forget to introduce yourself to the locals, namely Miss Squishy the Atlantic octopus.
There’s plenty of fun on offer like Toddler Tuesdays and Murder Mysteries. For something really special though check out their Sleeping with Sharks family sleepovers. Snooze under the sea and watch as the aquarium changes with a Twilight Tour, arts and crafts, games and midnight snacks. To top it all off this is a conservation charity so with each visit you’re helping protect marine creatures. A win-win!
