Attraction Information
National Centre for Circus Arts
Their Youth Circus Experience Day sessions are for young people aged 8 to 16 years old who want to try a great range of circus skills in a cool one off workshop! Skills the kids will learn include trapeze, diabolo and tightwire! Kids will need to wear tracksuit bottoms or leggings and t-shirt with clean indoor trainers, nothing too baggy and absolutely no jewellery.
The London Youth Circus Programme is progressive training over a series of weeks for 11 to 21 year olds; while the Youth CircusToo is recreational training for 11 to 17 year olds. Both of these focus on getting some experience at static trapeze, acrobatics, juggling and tightwire walking, flying trapeze and trick bike plus working on their core fitness. These courses are aimed at folks who want to go into the circus or related areas for a living and are taken pretty seriously, however much fun they are, and the pricing reflects that seriousness!
Junior Circus and Juniuor CircusToo are for 5 to 7s and 8 to 11s and focus on them learning aerial, acrobatics, tightwire, juggling in fun, accessible lessons, again with a view toward them joining the junior circus when trained.
And finally you can get in on the action too by joining a Family Circus Course for children aged 2 years 9 months to 7 years and their parents, where you can all as a group develop skills in hand and eye coordination plus balance and creativity through interactive storytelling, balancing and juggling activities.
