The Museum of the Broads has a fascinating collection of items and exhibits on the area's social and economic relationship with its watery landscape. There's a rich history associated with the region and plenty of learning scope in the presentations, with activities to do and interesting displays. There are special events and exhibitions.
Great efforts are made here to engage and welcome children, with them offering themed trails, puzzles, magnetic fishing, Knot Tying and opportunities to get arty, dress up, play on play boats and learn morse code!
Plus take a 50 minute trip on their Victorian steam launch or accessible electric boat with life jackets provided and friendly informed commentary. What wildlife will you see?
A picnic area, shop and cafe area with pannini and afternoon teas help round off the facilities, with everything either ramped or accessible so push chairs and wheelchairs are totally welcome. You can even bring the dog!

To really discover the Broads, its wildlife and landscape, take a trip in our Victorian steam boat or our accessible, Edwardian style electric boat.
The Museum is by the water's edge at the peaceful and historic Stalham Staithe.
