The exhibitions at the castle are always being updated meaning there will be something new to see every time you visit. The Gardens are not to be missed either. You will feel like you have just stepped into “The Secret Garden”. With winding woodlands and enchanted trails for the little ones to uncover, outdoor fun is guaranteed. After all that learning the kids deserve to run wild on the play area and climb and tumble around.
Be sure the kids bring their pocket money as there’s not one but three gift shops to get lost in, a perfect way to grab a keepsake to remember the day. Between exploring or before the journey home refuel at Creeping Kate’s Cafe or pop in for tea at The Owl Tree Garden Room.

Hard drive out

Came from Ambleside and it was a hard drive. The kids liked the birds of prey show. The castle less so. Lovely gardens. At the cafe had some really good food. Free parking but its a long walk to the castle grounds The half sized railway is 5 mins away.
