Attraction Information
Moray Motor Museum is an interesting place to visit even if motors aren't your thing, and if they are, you're in for a treat! The museum houses a superb collection of vintage, classic, and veteran cars, and some motorbikes. Added to this are the model cars and auto memorabilia, which make this a visit not be missed!
The museum is not large but every car you see is special and many have been lovingly restored over time. You can learn about their history from the information provided in the exhibits, and from the friendly staff, who are only too happy to answer any questions you may have.
Highlights of the collection include a Daimler Tourer, which was rescued from a scrapheap (there is a photo of this) by 2 Polish airmen and completely restored, which is pretty good for a car that has covered 60,000 miles in 45 years! There is also a 1929 Bentley, a Jaguar SS 100 (the first racing car from this maker), plus a Rolls Royce Phantom I that used to belong to a wealthy Maharajah! And make sure you check out the Jensen 541R, which was acquired by the museum as a ‘true barn find' and restored to almost better than new condition.
