About Misty Isle Boat Trips
On a Misty Isle Boat Trip there are chances to see some really stunning marine life on your trip, but of course you must remember that a great deal depends upon luck and weather, so be sure the kids appreciate that it may just be the boat trip and anything else is a bonus! However if you are in luck you might come across seals, basking sharks, several types of Dolphin, Porpoises Minky Whales and the rare Sunfish!
Meanwhile turning your eyes to the sky (that would be the Skye sky, see?) you're likely to see Golden Eagles, Oyster Catchers and Buzzards, plus several types of Guillemot, Razorbills, Manx Shearwaters and Puffins. Handybird watching books and binoculars are provided on board. Sometimes the author of the book provided tags along for the journey: an affable expert on the birdlife of Skye he's always happy to chat all things ornithological.
There are several differing trip types ranging in duration from 1 hour 45, to 3 hours, to 6 hours, with the longest adventure at 8 hours! Even the shortest trip has half an hour ashore, with exploration time naturally increasing as the duration do with new locations added like Loch Coruisk and the Cuillins. Basically however long an adventure you'd like, there's one here for you. Off you go then!
