Attraction Information
Marloes Sands is a stunningly beautiful location managed by the National Trust. The scenery is fantastic, the geology is breathtaking and there are many fossils to find, corals brachiopods, trilobites and much more.
It is a vast remote sandy beach, which remains very uncrowded throughout the year. A walk along its coast path offers stunning views of the beach, Skokholm Island and Gateholm Island. Gateholm Island has the remains of an ancient settlement, and can be accessed at low water, but you must be very careful not to get cut off by the tide.
There is a National Trust car park (charges) off the track near Marloes Mare, where a 15 minute walk along a footpath takes you to the steps down to the beach.
Trips can be booked in advance to the local nature reserve islands of Skokholm and Skomer to see the seals and huge quantities of nesting seabirds.
