By conserving and interpreting the Capital city's transport heritage, theLondon Transport Museum offers people an understanding of the Capital's past and engages them in the debate about its future.
There's more than ever for you and your family at London Transport Museum! Come and explore All Aboard, the Museum's exciting new play zone designed for children aged 0 to 7 years and including the Baby DLR! This is where kids can get into the driving seat of a real bus, they can repair a mini Tube train, play in the ‘Lost Property' office, sail the Thames Nipper, serve folks in the Nipper cafe, play musical instruments at the busking spot, fly the Emirates Air Line cable car, make driver announcements and help customers at the mini information desk! Plus look out for the special noisy seats hidden on some of the vehicles which make funny sounds when sat on! And there's plenty more to intrigue kids in the main fare too: See a bus so old it was pulled along the street by horses! Get behind the driver's seat of our tube train simulator, experience journeys of a bygone era! Talk to costumed actors, hit the Family Station activities, collect transport stamps and try a Tube Line milkshake! Your only problem will be trying to fit it all in!
Plus every school holiday parents, carers and children can make-and-take in their cool craft workshops, and join in with the latest storytime tales.
