Easter at Llanerchaeron
25th March - 1st April
As spring sweeps across this traditional Welsh estate in the heart of Ceredigion, get ready to hop, skip, and jump your way through a nature-inspired Easter adventure.
Pick up an Easter trail map and find ten activity stations, each with a fun challenge or exciting task that will take you one step closer to your delicious prize. From an obstacle course to egg target practice, a hidden bunny hunt to making a wish on the Easter wish tree, will you be able to complete all the challenges and claim your chocolate egg? Don't worry, there are plenty of vegan and Free From chocolate eggs too!
No visit is complete without visiting the traditional farmyard too. Explore the historic buildings and stop to say hello to the animals that call this place home including pigs, bird fowl, Llanwenog sheep, and Seren and Tomos the 19-year-old Welsh cobs.
Things To Do
Find out what life in the 1790s was like - explore the rooms of Llanerchaeron and learn fascinating stories about the ladies of the house over the years. You won’t see many areas that are roped off, so you’ll be free to look around.
There’s much more to see outside the villa too. Set in the beautiful Aeron Valley, Llanerchaeron is surrounded by lush parklands as far as the eye can see. Take the chance to unwind with a quiet walk in the walled gardens, sit by the stunning ornamental lake and find a nice spot in the shade for a family picnic.
Remember we told you the villa is self-sufficient? That’s because Llanerchaeron has its very own Home Farm complex. Since it’s a working farm, plenty of animals live there - from large Welsh Black cattle, Llanwenog sheep, and rare Welsh pigs, to the usual chickens, geese and doves. Meeting new furry and feathery friends is always fun for the kids!
Food and Drink
Enjoy a selection of drinks, sandwiches, light bites, cakes and of course, Conti's famous ice cream at Conti's Cafe! Whether you want freshly ground coffee or a delicious sandwich, Conti's Cafe has something for everyone.
