- Zoos and Wildlife Parks
Suitable for all ages
Venue type: Outdoor
Linton Zoo was born out of a family’s love for and concern for wildlife in the world.
The zoo and all of its inhabitants came to Linton in 1972 and has grown into an impressive, exotic zoo that covers 18 acres and is as committed now to conservation as it was back then. The 16 acres of gardens have been beautifully planted with shrubs, trees and over 10,000 bulbs to ensure that the environment is as nice for the guests as it is for the animals.
Every year new animals arrive to join the African lions, tigers, snow leopards, zebras, kangaroo, lemurs, macaws, owls, tortoise, snakes, lizards and tarantulas. There’s also a collection of dinosaurs to look around and learn about how they became extinct. Children will love the play area and there are plenty of picnic spots to sit and enjoy the well-maintained gardens.
Help to build a safer world for wildlife.
