Lanhydrock is a National Trust managed estate with late Victorian country house, gardens, expanse of woodland, parks and riverside paths, tea room, restaurant and gift shops. With free tours of the gardens, weekly park runs and lots of space for families to run, play and picnic, this is a lovely spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon.
The house is very child friendly with Touch and Discover tables, a train trail around the rooms, a school room complete with slates to write on, tables to set and serviettes to fold playing staff in the dining room and there are a selection of Victorian toys to play with too.
The various classic equipment on hand in their large adventure playground in the grounds will help to burn off that last bit of their energy after exploring the Estates woodland, parkland and riverside. It's also a great place for bird spotting and mini beats safaris!
Lanhydrock also hosts a range of events, family activities, workshops and theatrical performances all year round, so it's well worth keeping an eye out through our handy link to see what bonus activities are coming up!
