The Lake District Coast Aquarium has 55 themed tanks showcasing fish, crustaceans and other marine life found around the Cumbrian coastline, plus a grand tropical marine community reef tank.
Plenty to look at with educational information offered and charming sights to keep the smalls happy like a kreisel tank full of moon jellies! Their new Sea Lab is now available to explore too, featuring a Lobster Hatchery! Sea Lab opened in July 2015 during their extension works.
The Aqua Blaster water cannon stall game and Radio Controlled Boat zone are on hand to provide some extra amusement! A great use for their pocket money!
The 14-hole mini course faces 2 sides of the aquarium, with the last hole parallel to the dock for a grand visual finish. The course is suitable for all ages as the holes vary in degrees of skill or luck required, so plenty of room for show offs to show off and well as for beginners to begin.
There' also a nautically themed adventure playground outside, offering up shipwrecks, slides and even an aerial ropeway! With equipment ranges suitable for 5 to 15 years old and loads of options for physical play and exercise, this area is free to play in!
Plus there are some environmental and nature related displays in the Wild Solway Centre, plus whenever there's a special event this is generally where it'll be.
