Attraction Information
Is exploring a Safari on your holiday wish list? But perhaps you can’t quite stretch to it this year? If so, then visit Knowsley Safari Park, right here in the UK! It's the next best thing and the place to see loads of animal species that will wow and amaze you. From riding the Baboon bus and seeing baboons to camels, white rhinos and Siberian tigers
Safari Drive
This fabulous safari drive is 5 miles – the longest in the UK – where you can spot cheeky baboons and marvel at the magnificent lion pride! In the 550 acres of land, you'll be able to spot animals from all over the world on this car-friendly route. All in environments that are as close to their natural habitats as can be. Every time you go around, it'll be different because animals don't sit still, do they? And with many different zones to experience, it'll be one of your wildest dreams. Be amazed as lions roam around your car as you enter the lion enclosure, gaze at rhinos, forest wildebeest, camels, and much more!
If you're feeling a little cheeky, hop on the Baboon Bus! Lasting between 1-2 hours, you'll be taken as close as ever to some really wild animal enclosures. And with ladders and nets kitted out on the bus, it makes it easier than ever for the boisterous baboons in the baboon enclosure to get up to some mischief as they swing around, while you're in the van!
The only question left is are you ready to meet some cheeky monkeys and bold baboons in the Monkey Enclosure and Baboon House?
On Foot Safari
Experience something new and find exotic animals, with a safari on foot! Pull up your socks and hit the foot trails, there's so much to explore and plenty of animals to discover!
You'll have the time of your lives as you discover sea lion animal displays and mischievous meerkats, crane your necks to look at giraffes and an amazing Amur tiger trail! The Tiger Trail is Russian-themed and is home to Sinda and Miron, two beautiful Siberian tigers. And if you find the pond spot, you may even come nose-to-nose with Sinda and Bira (there's glass between, of course). Or catch them splashing about in the water.
Then you can explore the woodland walk on the Wild Trail or take the family out on Mizzy Lake for a bit of relaxing rowing. Don't worry Knowsley Safari's on-foot safari takes you on a safe route, so you can have an amazing experience while on a walking route around animal enclosures! And you can go around a couple of times because each walk around will be different as the animals go about their day.
DOWTK Recommendation: Keep an eye out for the cutest family of South American Bush Dogs. They are adorable!

There are plenty of places to refuel after a wild family day out. You can choose to dine at the outdoor food court for some loaded fries, and delicious pizzas, and you can even build your own dessert!
Maybe you fancy something different? There's the Oasis Restaurant where you can dine on delis, chill con carne, penne bolognese, rosemary focaccia and even fish and chips!
