John Muir’s Birthplace is an award winning museum dedicated to the life of the pioneering conservationist.
Discover how the boy born in this house went on to become a driving forces behind the global conservation movement. Go on a journey through John's life as a pioneering conservationist, geologist, writer, explorer and inventor, learn all about his travels around the globe, read extracts from his journals and see some of his sketches of plants and wildlife.
The interactive displays, lively exhibitions and hands-on interpretation centre are lots of fun for the whole family; the friendly staff are also always available to answer any questions you may have.
