Attraction Information
Visit the enchanting cottage where Sir JM Barrie was born!
As charming as it is, if the kids are not aware of the story and the writer in advance then they may find this a little dry and un-affecting. It's well worth educating them ahead of time on Barrie's classics so they can feel a sense of justifiable wonder when they visit the writer's home. It's full of his real possessions and many interesting things offering discreet insight into his stories.
They're a bit shy on the details but apparently one can fly in the Peter Pan Experience Room, so presumably one should dress sensibly so as to be able to use whatever creative solution they have rigged up! And take a camera!
Families can picnic in the gardens where they can also find a statue of Peter Pan, plus a charming natural style adventure playground. This is also where they tend to hold the events, so keep an eye out at likely times of year.
As one might expect there is also a bookshop on site where one can purchase Barrie's inspired works.
