Attraction Information
Humber Bridge Country Park is a 48 acre wood with open meadows and wildlife ponds. The distinctive chalk cliffs which surround the park on three sides and look like they are snow covered give rise to the park's local name of Little Switzerland!
While some off the meadows are mown for games and picnics, others are just cut once a year so as to encourage wild flowers and butterflies. There are 22 species of butterflies recorded across the reserve, why not see how many you can spot during your picnic?
The Meadow, Pond and Cliff nature Trails increase in length (in that order) so you can choose one which suits, and there is a bird feeding station in the very centre of the park. All in all it's a great natural family day out but wellies are a definite bonus off season!
The park is accessible to people with disabilities, including wheelchair users. Park and enter at the step-free Hessle Foreshore entrance which is of course very handy for pushchairs too!
