This is all part of a plan to create a canal quarter in the capital city of Wales. It is hoped the completed canal quarter tourist attraction will breathe new life into this area of the city attracting new businesses including shops, hotels, restaurants and more visitors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The area has struggled since the opening of the St David\u2019s Dewi Sant shopping centre, which it was felt took visitors away from other areas in Cardiff&#8217;s city centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Viewing Platforms and Outdoor Performance Area<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Already the Cardiff Canal Quarter development has seen viewing platforms and outdoor seating installed. They provide a pleasant shopping experience and place to visit for families in Cardiff\u2019s vibrant city centre.
