There are indoor and outdoor play areas, real JCBs, off-road rides and even the famous Spindizzy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diggerland is aimed at children aged between 4 and 14 years old, but visitors of all ages can enjoy a fun-packed day out.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<h2 class=\"dowtk-heading\">Where is Diggerland Yorkshire?<\/h2>\n            <div class=\"attraction-cta\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image00016-1-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"Diggerland Yorkshire\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                \n                 \n            \n                                    <div class=\"attraction-cta__meta-wrapper\">\n                         \n                            <div class=\"attraction-cta__description\">\n                                <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diggerland has theme parks in Yorkshire, Kent, Devon and Durham. We visited the Yorkshire park which is located in Castleford and is tucked away on an industrial estate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was plenty of parking available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We arrived around 11am and left the park at 3.30pm. The Diggerland Train, and surprisingly the Spindizzy were the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">biggest hit for our big boy and these were the rides he wanted to go on over, and over again.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<h2 class=\"dowtk-heading\">Things to know before you go<\/h2>\n            <div class=\"dowtk-blog-image\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image00022-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"Rides at Diggerland\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Make sure you wear something you don\u2019t mind getting a bit dirty &#8211; muck comes with the territory of diggers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bring plenty of cash if you\u2019re wanting to use the coin operated rides and\/or dodgems that are dotted around the park.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If you\u2019re wanting to go on the rides, you\u2019ll need to wear covered and flat shoes e.g. trainers or boots.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Make sure you check any height restrictions for rides before you visit so you can avoid any disappointed kids on arrival at the park.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<h2 class=\"dowtk-heading\">Our highlights at Diggerland<\/h2>\n            <div class=\"dowtk-blog-image\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image00018-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"Diggerland Yorkshire sign\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ezra our son loved driving the dumpers with mummy and daddy, and getting behind the controls to try and hook a duck.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The train was a hit, and also the Groundshuttle which gave a semi-rollercoaster<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We all enjoyed heading 50 feet up in the air in the Skyshuttle, which gave us a<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">great view of the whole park (and to Ezra\u2019s delight, the Haribo factory).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ezra loved seeing daddy turn green on the Spindizzy and kindly dragged him<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">back on another time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>I personally loved driving a huge JCB round the dirt track &#8211; something I never thought I\u2019d do! Lots of fun!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<h2 class=\"dowtk-heading\">Food and Drink at Diggerland<\/h2>\n            <div class=\"dowtk-blog-image\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image00013-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"The Dig Inn\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We chose to eat in the caf\u00e9, The Dig Inn, which offered a range of hot and cold meal options. We paid \u00a323 for 1 x coke, 1 x jacket potato, 1 x panini and 1 x childs sandwich box meal which included a drinks, crisps and a chocolate biscuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is also a kiosk mid-way round the park where you can buy drinks and ice creams. This is cash only.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Picnic tables are dotted around the park, with some undercover in the soft play area. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<h2 class=\"dowtk-heading\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n            <div class=\"dowtk-blog-image\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image00021-1-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well worth a visit if you have a digger lover!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Pros<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is completely digger-tastic and a huge novelty &#8211; as parents we really enjoyed giving everything a go, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Cons<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is expensive, and not one we would rush back to as I do feel like once you\u2019ve done everything once\u2026 you\u2019ve done it.
