Plus, anything else you can imagine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we were out with the kids, it was a simple diet Coke for me and my husband, and a box of juice for Hudson. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <strong>kid&#8217;s meals are \u00a36.95<\/strong> which includes a main, side and dessert, and it is a well-thought-out kids menu! They have the children\u2019s classics like <strong>chicken fingers<\/strong>, but it\u2019s also great to see a <strong>gnocchi<\/strong> option. They haven\u2019t forgotten about the kids when it came to the <strong>hanging kebabs<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Botanist are known for their incredible hanging kebabs, which are delicious and a great centrepiece to the table. Their kebab menu has also extended since it arrived in Cheltenham a few years ago. Hudson adores sausage, so he ordered the <strong>sausage and mash<\/strong> (although they were very helpful when it came to the sides, as he doesn\u2019t eat potato, and allowed us to switch it to rice). Which comes <strong>hanging on a skewer<\/strong>, something he was really excited about!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It was the most food I\u2019ve ever seen him eat when we&#8217;ve been out at a restaurant. He also enjoyed some of Dave\u2019s corn on the cob, another of his favourites!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dave went for the <strong>Giant Piri Piri Chicken Kebab<\/strong>, whilst I tucked into a <strong>Grilled \u2018Nduja Chicken Burger<\/strong>. It was all delicious, and the perfect meal to enjoy as a family &#8211; simple recipes with a<strong> theatrical twist<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For dessert, my husband was too full up from his kebab to join in. But Hudson had a <strong>nutty banana split<\/strong> which looked amazing, and I couldn\u2019t resist the <strong>Oreo cookie dough<\/strong>, which sadly I had to share with my toddler. Often, when we go out as a family, this is tricky to navigate, as a lot of restaurants don\u2019t cater for wandering around. So, one of us inevitably ends up heading outside with him for a walk. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, The Botanist feels different. With all of the <strong>leafy plants<\/strong> dotted around, a <strong>large bar area<\/strong> and what appears to be a <strong>dancefloor<\/strong> for when there is live music. Plus, areas of the restaurant are adorned with decorative items, drawers and pictures. So, there is a lot to keep <strong>children entertained<\/strong> (he enjoyed getting his hands inside one of the cabinets!). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is plenty of space <strong>for them to walk <\/strong>too, and the staff were extremely relaxed about us taking a look around the restaurant. Even the toilets are exciting for a small person, Hudson enjoyed taking a \u201ctoilet selfie\u201d with me on the sofa that&#8217;s in there. He was also fascinated by the <strong>old-fashioned loo<\/strong> flush on a pully lever! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I really enjoyed some of the local touches as well. Despite the fact that The Botanist has a few restaurants in the UK, whilst looking around we found some artwork on the wall that was specific to Cheltenham.\u00a0<\/span>                            <\/div>\n                                                                                                                                            <\/div>\n                \n                \n            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_empty_space height=&#8221;25px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;25px&#8221;]\n            <div class=\"attraction-cta\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/outside-and-inside-1200x708.jpg\" alt=\"inside and outside of the botanist\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                \n                <h3>Outside The Botanist<\/h3> \n            \n                                    <div class=\"attraction-cta__meta-wrapper\">\n                         \n                            <div class=\"attraction-cta__description\">\n                                <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outside, there are a number of<strong> tables and chairs<\/strong>, so when the weather is nicer you could enjoy the outdoors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s also a fantastic people-watching spot, which is the perfect way to keep children entertained. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They have huge glass door panels which open up, so the restaurant feels very \u201coutdoors-in\u201d. There are lots of different sections of the restaurant, so you could feel like you are somewhere different each time you come. At the weekend, The Botanist hosts <strong>live music<\/strong>, something we have frequented before we had children. It was busy at the time, with a nice hubbub to add to the atmosphere, and it felt like a restaurant where people<strong> were happy to welcome in children<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have a really small one (we had a 3-month-old with us) there are<strong> lots of leaves and light<\/strong> around the restaurant which Otto loved looking at. It gave him an exciting baby sensory experience, which meant when the food came he was happy to lie in his pram and kick around, so we could enjoy a hot dinner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all left the restaurant feeling like we\u2019d eaten a <strong>great meal<\/strong>, enjoyed a lovely atmosphere, managed to entertain the children, and were well looked after by the staff.
