\n This medieval castle is a firm favourite with families. Not only is Alnwick Castle shrouded in fascinating history but there are so many fun activities for kids. From Harry Potter-themed activities to Tudor dress-up opportunities, ancient artillery and crossbow training, medieval camping and so much more!<\/p>\n

Alnwick is the second largest inhabited castle in the UK, with a rich past. Alnwick has served as a military outpost, a teaching college, a refuge for evacuees, a film set, and not least as a family home. Alnwick is located in Northumberland which is an English location steeped in wonder, wars, and royalty. It’s seen Roman invasions, Norman invasions and Viking attacks which have resulted in stunning castles and landmarks for you to feast your eyes on.
