We last visited in 2020, and the changes that have taken place since then are remarkable! The park seems to have doubled in size.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Yorkshire Hive<\/strong> opened in 2021, and this is now where you begin your experience. here you are greeted first with the Evolution restaurant and the<strong> UpRoar soft play<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p>There really is something for everyone. Every little detail has been considered, the setting is immaculate and it really is a welcoming start to the day. It is worth noting you will also exit the park this way, so the restaurant or soft play would be the perfect way to end your trip.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve passed through the Yorkshire Hive and enter the park, you\u2019re met with <strong>Pangea<\/strong> which is the latest addition to the park and home to the dinosaurs. This area of the park gives you the opportunity to walk amongst <strong>pre-historic giants<\/strong> through five unique lands of Pangea. Whilst it isn\u2019t what you might expect from a wildlife park, it certainly grasped the attention of my four year old who loved finding out more about every <strong>dinosaur<\/strong> from the terrifying T-rex to the villainous Velociraptor. There\u2019s sound effects, movement and watch out\u2026 because you might even get a bit wet![\/vc_column_text]\n            <div class=\"dowtk-blog-image\">\n                \n                \n                    <picture class=\"attraction-cta__image\">\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Camels-1260x708.jpeg\" alt=\"camels\" class=\"lazyload\" \/> \n                    <\/picture>\n                            <\/div>\n\n            [vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\n<h3>Animals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park<\/h3>\n<p>Whether you love tigers, or prefer the meerkats &#8211; you\u2019ll find it at Yorkshire Wildlife Park!<\/p>\n<p>The animals are split between <strong>different\u00a0 regions<\/strong> throughout the park, each with a huge amount of attention to detail so that you really feel like you\u2019re going on an adventure across the world. The regions include:<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Into Africa<\/strong>! which is home to zebra, giraffes and antelopes to name but a few. This region will give you the chance to step foot on a safari adventure\u2026 right in the heart of Yorkshire!<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Point Lobos<\/strong> aka home to the Sea Lions<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Atlantic Forest<\/strong> where you can explore the atlantic coast of Brazil and spot animals<br \/>\nincluding Tapir and Bush Dogs<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Experience Ethiopia<\/strong> and be transported to the incredible landscapes, home to hyena<br \/>\nand monkeys<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Himalayan Pass<\/strong> which gives you the opportunity to spot Red Panda and otters<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Project Polar<\/strong> &#8211; the largest polar bear centre outside Canada<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Lion Country<\/strong> &#8211; our favourite! Take a walk around the edge of their vast enclosure and<br \/>\nwatch the lions interact with one another. Truly special.<br \/>\n\u25cf <strong>Woodland Trail<\/strong> where you can see lemurs, African painted dogs and baboons.<\/p>\n<p>Each region also offers specific ranger talks, as well as animal experiences. Yorkshire Wildlife Park really has not just one but <strong>five different play areas<\/strong> that even includes one soft play.<\/p>\n<p>These play areas cater to all ages, with swings and small climbing \u2018bugs\u2019 for younger children all the way through to the <strong>Jungle Lookout<\/strong>.
