On arrival, we went to the shed to <strong>meet the group of trekking male alpacas<\/strong> and to find out the individual names of our new animal friends. This was exciting for the children in our group to see which animals we would be walking with. They were delighted to find out we had been given one brown and one white\/cream alpaca.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst at the shed, we were given an <strong>interesting introduction<\/strong> to the company and information on caring for alpacas. Everyone was <strong>friendly and welcoming,<\/strong> answering any questions that you may have. This is helpful with children if you are unsure and need clarification. There is a safety waiver to sign and then you are on your way to enjoy your trek!<\/p>\n<h3>Alpaca walk<\/h3>\n<p>This alpaca experience takes you on a walk through <strong>Pembrokeshire countryside<\/strong> with stunning views down towards the coast and over fields. At one point you can even see the sea! You have a rope style lead to guide your alpaca gently and they were so happy and content just trotting along. It was a lovely way to spend <strong>quality time as a family<\/strong> and be with these super cute creatures.<\/p>\n<p>Along the way there is a stopping point where you can <strong>feed your alpaca <\/strong>and take in the surrounding views. After the alpaca trekking experience has finished you return to the shed. Everyone is then given an opportunity to stroke an alpaca-we couldn&#8217;t believe just how soft the fur is!<\/p>\n<h3>Gifts<\/h3>\n<p>Just before we left we made sure to browse the selection of gifts on offer from Pembrokeshire Alpaca Trekking.There are a variety of good quality items available. My children had already spotted a super cute, <strong>cuddly alpaca toy<\/strong> on arriving, so we made sure to collect one so they could have their own alpaca pet at home!<\/p>\n<p>Overall, this was a <strong>brilliant experience<\/strong> as a family and one I would recommend doing as a fun activity for everyone of all ages.
