Head over to the Trafford Centre, Manchester for Emergency Services Day.

Little firefighters, paramedics and police will enjoy seeing up to 100 emergency vehicles, displays and demonstrations. They’ll even be modern and vintage fire engines, ambulances and police cars! 

That’s not all, they’ll be live performances from bands and choirs as well as character appearances throughout the day. It’s a fun free day out for the whole family!

For all you story lovers out there, we’ve found the perfect free activity for you!

The National Gallery is hosting lots of interactive storytelling sessions over the summer. Head on over to the National Gallery to explore original stories written and illustrated by local primary schools, wander around the gallery and create your own stories inspired by art!

Oh, and there’s lots of other activities to take part in, including more arts and crafts, decoding pictures and more.

Are any Swifties reading? Well, we think a trip to London’s V&A Museum is in order! You’ll find a free exhibition dedicated to Taylor Swift, showcasing personal collections on loan from her personal archive. Yes, you read that right —that means costumes, instruments, awards, and more! But that’s not all! There’s also a Songbook Trail that takes you through her life and music career.

Summer at the V&A Museum will be the ‘golden age of something good and right and real’!

Let’s take a trip to the beach! After all, nothing says summer quite like a beach!

The giant beach (Come to the Beach) is coming back to Heaton Park and promises sun, sand and laughter (well… fingers crossed for the sun). You’ll find 100 tonnes of sand, deck chairs, buckets, spades and more. There will also be character and dinosaur appearances throughout the day as well as a range of children’s entertainment.

But that’s not all; there’s also a seaside fun park with traditional rides, attractions, inflatables, bungee trampolines, game stalls, street food stalls and more. It’s the perfect day out for the whole family – and it doesn’t have to cost a penny!

Please note that the beach is free, but you must purchase tokens for the rides and attractions.

Looking for an activity surrounded by animals? Head to a free animal farm! We all love cute cuddly animals, whether they bleat, moo or oink!

Roskilly’s Farm is a must this summer with the kids! Whether you’re visiting Cornwall for your family staycation or you already live there! It’s free admission, and it’s the perfect day out for kids!

There’s a mile of easy walking (so great for all ages!), and the free walking trail includes The Top and Bottom Ponds, Long Meadows, The Old Withy Woods, the Old Orchard and more! From family beaches, magnificent views of the Cornish coast and adorable animals. It’s pretty much an all-rounded trip!

This summer, prepare to be blown away by uplifting hot air balloons! They’ll take to the sky between 9th – 11th August. It’s a free event, but make sure to book tickets anyway.

It’s a family favourite event, as anyone whose anyone will love the joy of colourful and whimsical balloons float up. Which is undoubtedly the festival’s most iconic and captivating moment, so make sure you have your camera at the ready!

You’ll find lots of free music performances from jazz bands or orchestras and everything in between. It’s the perfect place for a family picnic; just bring the food and blanket and sit back, relax and soak up the sun and ambience!

Looking for more Taylor Swift-inspired days out? We hear you! Head over to Wembley Park Outdoor Photo Gallery in Arena Square for an exhibition that pays homage to the pop icon herself! You’ll find 17 large-format images that showcase Taylor Swift’s journey across the world – including some iconic scenes from the Reputation Tour in 2018. You’ll see backstage moments, stunning costumes and set designs.

This is a must -visit exhibition for any swifties still in their Era’s Tour era!

Groove to the beat with Mas Bands, Brazillian bands with their bright and colourful outfits and blaring tunes. Dance to the beat with steel drums and taste all the glorious food and drink!

Notting Hill Carnival is a massive music festival that sounds to the beat of a hundred drums that drives audiences from all over the world. Let’s hope the weather shapes up!
