Have you got a favourite animal? Chances are you’ll see it at Howletts Wild Animal Park.
There are over 400 animals living in this 90-acre site, including Kent’s only giant anteaters; or if you prefer your animals fluffy but deadly you’ll be spoilt for choice between the gorillas, tigers and leopards. Watch playful primates explore the trees overhead and take a walk with a lemur in their natural enclosure.
The park has a focus on endangered animals and is involved with several breeding programmes to help protect certain species, such as the 15 black rhino that roam the park and are firm guest favourites. Near the Pavilion restaurant is a dedicated play area for children where they can swing, climb, jump and slide, which is the ideal spot for parents to pick up a hot drink to enjoy while you oversee the fun!
