Attraction Information
Types of Tours
The standard audio tours and guided tours include the route taken by the Queen at the State Opening of Parliament; from the Queen's Robing Room, through the Royal Gallery and Prince's Chamber, into the majestic Lords' Chamber. Tours then move on through the Central Lobby, Member's Lobby and one of the voting lobbies before entering the Commons Chamber, the scene of many lively debates! Not only will you explore iconic chambers but exclusive access to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey!
Passing through St Stephen's Hall, the tours end in 900-year-old Westminster Hall. This is where Guy Fawkes and King Charles I were tried and where Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama addressed Parliament in more recent years.
The audio tours are recommended for families. The guided tours are not really suitable for younger children due to the length of the tours (90 minutes) and the amount of walking involved.
