Attraction Information
Hitchin Lavender is great for a scenic and beautifully scented walk through the countryside with the kids, who will love the freedom to be able to run up and down the rows, while everyone else can go at their own pace.
This is a great place for taking or drawing pictures or simply to enjoy the view across the purple fields in all directions. Everyone is also welcome and pick and take home a large bunch of lavender for free.
Guided tours are available for groups, but will need to be booked in advance. The farm also holds a number of events through the summer like Barn Dances, outdoor cinema nights and also the Hitchin Festival.
There is also a Wildflower area and a Sunflower strip, which are sown next to the lavender every spring. The farm also has its own bee hives so do watch out for them amongst the lavender.
If you can't get enough of the purple stuff, the farm also has a shop in a converted 17th century barn where you can buy a number of products made with 100% lavender oil.
