Venue type: Outdoor
Step into the animal kingdom at Highland Wildlife Park and meet the many amazing creatures that call it home, including the UK’s only bear cub to be born in captivity in 25 years.
It’s been major news all over the nation so grab the chance to bear witness (we couldn’t resist) to their cute little cub. You can then stay on snowy shores and see arctic foxes, snow leopards and Hedwig’s very own crew, snowy owls. The Highlands are the perfect place to rehome them but be sure you wear a cosy coat!
The park somewhat specialises in unusual animals, like two roly-poly red pandas, as well as the very beautiful and rare Amur tigers - meet Dominika and… Marty! You have the option to drive around the main reserve and then investigate on foot throughout the rest of the park. Plus as well as endangered animals, you’ll get the chance to meet some locals. Kids and grown-ups will love seeing the acrobatic Scottish Wildcats in action.
