Attraction Information
Some of the magnificent Hawkstone Park Follies highlights include Grotto Hill, where you can explore a pitch-dark labyrinth of ancient mines cut into the cliff!
Torches are required and if you don't bring one they're available for purchase in the visitor centre. There's also the Swiss Bridge, a rustic wooden structure perched over an unnervingly deep chasm! How long before you hear your pebble hit bottom…?
Plus, there's The Cleft, a path winding between 2 cliffs that narrows into a dark, creepy tunnel in which to enjoy dad making frequent light 'cleft' jokes. And finally the Monument: a 100ft high column which can be climbed to enjoy panoramic views of up to 13 counties!
It's worth noting that pushchair access is limited to the Visitor centre and Grand Valley, so bring a baby backpack if you're got one! Picnic tables are available throughout the park and Caspian's Tea Room is open for refreshments and light snacks.
Free car parking for visitors and dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead. If you're taking grandparents along give them a ring about their Silver Safaris, a way for the less mobile to enjoy the experience with you.
There are also variety of family friendly special events scattered throughout the year, including things like Summer Holiday treasure hunts, Fun Ride Days and the famous Shropshire Mud Run!
