Discover toys through time, social history, travel and transport (including a fantastic display of Gypsy caravans) and the intriguing and interesting story of Worcestershire's past. Visitors can also see room sets such as the schoolroom and scullery and period rooms which date back to the Victorian and Civil War era. If you're visiting in the summer months, typically April to August, don't forget to head inside the Castle itself and marvel at the magnificent staterooms, the Medieval Great Hall and the Georgian Saloon. There's plenty more to see and do in the castle grounds as well, pay a visit to the Cider Mill or the Transport Gallery or just enjoy the stunning surrounds with a picnic in the dedicated areas. There's a also a nature reserve to be explored. Pick up a souvenir during your visit and tell the tale of your day in the little gift shop. Regular events happen throughout the year including Bank Holidays. Family Fun: during the school holidays and half terms breaks activity days are held offering a range of fun family craft activities.

Standard Opening Times and Pricing
The County Museum is open 5 January to 23 December 2016. Tuesday - Friday: 10am to 5pm. Weekends & bank holidays: 11am to 5pm. Closed on Mondays except bank holidays. Closed Good Friday.

New cafe just opened in May 2016! James' Kitchen serves a wide range of freshly made meals and snacks. Menu contains a variety of homemade dishes, light lunches and tempting cakes, using many local ingredients as well as organic and fair trade products. Or you can enjoy a picnic in the picnic area in the Orchard. The Cafe is open the same times as the museum.
