The best thing about visiting Grimsthorpe is that there is loads to do outside.
There is an adventure playground, with a wire rope slide, as well as plenty of open space to play and run around!
Grimsthorpe also has over nine miles of beautiful parkland trails which are perfect for cycling. You can bring your own bikes or hire one from our cycle shop: including tag alongs and buggies for little ones.
The route is designed for families in mind avoiding steep inclines and rough terrain.

Grimsthorpe has a lovely Georgian Coach House which has been converted into a comfortable licensed tearoom, with seating for 54. In good weather patrons can also sit outside on benches. Lunches are served between 12 and 2.30pm. Afternoon tea, with homemade cakes, is still an essential part of historic house visiting and the tearoom serves these until 5.00pm to allow visitors to indulge in this tradition. A range of hot and cold drinks are available from 11am to 5.00pm.
