Attraction Information

Green Park is one of the Royal Parks in London, offering large open spaces with iconic British landscaping. Although situated so close to St James's Park, The Green Park is quite different in character, it is more peaceful, with mature trees and grassland.

The park is the smallest of the 8 Royal Parks in the capital, covering just over 40 acres, but it is located in the peaceful triangle between Constitution Hill and Piccadilly, and is a popular place for sunbathing and picnics in good weather. It's less child friendly than the others with no kids' features like playground or boating lakes, but plenty of pleasingly landscaped space for traditional outdoor games, exploration and picnicking.
You an also see the Bomber Command Memorial, the Canada Memorial, and the Canada Gate, which form a grand entrance into the Park. As you walk from the Canada Gate into the Park, you will follow a wide grassy path lined with trees, that was planted in 1905 to give a good view of the Queen Victoria Memorial from Piccadilly!
There are a number of unusual trees to look out for in the Park, including silver maples, and the Black Poplar, which is the rarest native timber tree in Britain! You will also find some native Oaks, and Hawthorne, a tree that supports a lot of wildlife, so keep you eyes peeled for insects and birds.
