From mountain bike trails to high-ropes adventures, zip wires, dramatic views and Tarzan swings, Go Ape Peebles is an adventure enthusiast's delight! This experience is a bundle of fun and includes the longest Go Ape adventure zip line which is 160ft above the valley!

Fun Activities for Thrill Seekers 
Zipline fanatics will go wild for the 325-metre-long cross-valley zip wires that are a whopping 160ft high! And that's not the only part of the course to give you butterflies... With a jaw-dropping backdrop of the magnificent Scottish countryside, you'll be having many 'pinch me' moments during you Go Ape experience. 

Located on the grounds of the magnificent Glentress Forest, this Treetop Challenge is made up of all the classic Go Ape features, like wobbly rope ladders, and toe-curling Tarzan swings - but on another level. Do you dare take on this epic challenge?

Go Ape Glentress Forest, Peebles is a hidden gem and the perfect activity for a day out. Extend the adventure and explore the lovely Peeblesshire countryside. The whole area is primed for family fun like award-winning mountain bike trails, walking trails and simply taking in views of the beautiful (and fantastically titled) Tweed Valley.

The ultimate family adventure awaits you at Go Ape Peebles, Glentress Forest. Now all you need to do is book your place and experience freedom as you've never experienced before... 
 
Food & Drink 
Once you've soaked up the beautiful backdrop of the ancient forest, grab a bite to eat in the onsite cafe! You'll be able to relax in utter tranquillity sipping on cold or hot drinks and tucking into some tasty hot meals. 
 
Travelling & Parking 
By Car
There is a car park next to the Go Ape Cabin. Forestry Scotland manages the car park, visitors can pay for their parking using the RingGo phone app or by calling the dedicated FLS RingGo phone number 0131 239 0000 to pay by automated service or 24/7 call centre. Visitors can download the RingGo app in advance of their visit to make it easier on the day. Please note you may not get a phone signal in the forest car park and the cabin doesn't have internet.

Costs are as follows:
Cars
  • £3 for up to 1 hour
  • £4 for up to 3 hours
  • £6 for all-day
  • Blue Badge holders park for free

Minibus/coach
  • £24 all-day 
The Go Ape course is approx 500m (a 10-minute walk) from the bike shop and cafe, up a gentle hill into the forest. 
 
By Bus
The 62 and 62a buses from Edinburgh to Galashiels both stop right outside the Glentress entrance.
Ask for “Glentress” rather than “Peebles”.The driver is more likely to drop you outside the site, rather than in Peebles. The stop is not in Peebles itself but three miles east of Peebles.
The course is approx 500m up a gentle hill, following the forest road from the bus stop.
