Attraction Information
Departing from Ham Lane Station, where there is a cafe, gift shop and small adventure playground, the Ferry Meadows Railway will whisk you grandly around the edge of Coney Meadow with the often busy Overton Lake visible from the other side.
You'll then pass Lynch Lake from a slightly elevated level allowing (hopefully!) a nice view of plenty of nesting birds, plus Bluebell woods which despite some distance off is clearly visible as stunningly blue at certain times of year.
After that you'll pass the local Watersport Centre and then hit Gunwade Station, where as luck would have it's there's another adventure playground! They look after the small ones, this lot!
Once you're at this end of the line you can do anything from explore the park to hire a canoe! The service also now boasts a dedicated Wheelchair Coach to facilitate disabled passenger travel, which will also carry prams and bicycles if space is available, meaning if you plan ahead you can even take the train out to the good stuff and start your family cycle ride from there!
