East Anglian Railway Museum has a great collection of steam engines, carriages, and wagons to discover, plus a mini rail you can explore. There is plenty to see and do here, whatever time of the year you visit!
You can pull the levers in the Signal Box and learn how a signalman controlled the trains on the lines. Explore the carriages and go back in time to how the previous generations would travel. Enjoy rides on the Mini Rail, which has been upgraded this year, and Mum and Dad can ride with you!
Come along at Easter, and August Bank Holiday if you fancy a ride along with Thomas and some of his friends, have your photograph taken with the Fat Controller and ask him if his engines are behaving themselves today! Do some colouring or drawing in the Imagination Station, watch the clowns performing tricks, and enjoy the Punch and Judy shows.
Join in the fun with a reenactment with Thomas, perhaps helping to fill him with water. Ride inside Daisy the DMU, and in Henrietta who is pulled along by Toby. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Thomas and Santa will also be here during the weekends in December. There will be a Vintage Transport Extravaganza early May where there will be trains, buses, lorries, cars and motor cycles on display.
