The dedicated staff atDurrell Wildlife Conservation Trust use their skills to care for highly threatened species and support conservation efforts in the most threatened places around the world. When your family visits you will see some of the most precious and endangered animals in the world and learn about the Trust's important projects which include a vital captive breeding program, so it's a wonderfully rich educational experience as well as a classic wildlife one.
Loads of chances for special experiences are on offer here too, should you happen to have the extra money to participate, including Lemur Liaison, Meerkat Munch, Ape Shift and Keeper For A Day! Well worth doing if the pennies aren't an issue.
If you click our link and follow through the website you may come across the short animated Lonely Dodo film, it's very good but a word of warning it's terribly sad at the end and young children would probably be upset by it, so don't automatically play it for them just because it's a cartoon!
