Venue type: Outdoor
If you think that not enough castles have zoos in their grounds, or vica versa, then Dudley Zoo and Castle is the place for you!
Learn about lions, Asiatic bears, chimpanzees and many others as you cover the full 40 acres of zoo, which is near 80 years old. In fact, almost 200 species call the 11th-century castle ruins home, which you can explore at your own pace. Medieval mad kids can imagine themselves climbing the ramparts, or even wielding a sword for battle.
Walk through the lemur habitats or get up close to some of the most exotic species in the zoo when feeding free flying Australian Lorikeets with little pots of nectar. It’s sweet in every sense of the word! Just don't forget to visit Pingu, Dudley’s oldest penguin, who may be hard to spot in his 60 strong colony - one of the largest in the UK!
