Attraction Information
For a dose of culture, bring your brood along to The Derby Museum and Art Gallery.
Take a trip through history, first by stopping off in Ancient Egypt and eyeing up their collection of mummies. Then make your way through to the Archaeology Gallery and discover ancient curiosities such as the huge Bronze Age logboat and Viking warrior's sword. Then dash through the exhibit of 18th-century painter, Joseph Wright. It's the world’s largest collection of his work and well worth a look!
One of the highlights of the museum is their collection of fantastic beasts, which kids will no doubt love sizing up against! There’s also plenty to learn about the local area and other stuff for littluns to enjoy, especially the weekly Tots Make and Do sessions for 2-5 year olds.
