Davaar Island and Crucifixion Cave
A popular day trip destination from Campbeltown. This small uninhabited island is only accessable at low tide with a peculiar dog-leg stretch of shingle.
Its main attraction is a cave painting of the Crucifixion secretly produced by a local artist in the late 1800s but is a beautiful place with beaches and walking that feel magical to children and adults alike.
