Suitable for all ages
Venue type: Outdoor
Dare to do something different this weekend at Dare Valley Country Park. 500 acres of pond dipping, willow weaving, magicians and more make this a welcome dive into the wild.
First off be sure to have a crack at the DVCP Quest. You’ll be magically transported and tasked with freeing the trees and animals from the dastardly Dewin Du. Simply pick up your free map go! Other fun includes a climbing wall, an adventure playground and nature trails. Plus for anyone (so basically everyone) who loves ice cream, get a delicious bowlful at the Cwtch Café.
For older kids, the Combat Zone will be a massive draw. It’s one of the largest outdoor laser tag sites in the UK and issues infrared rifles and combat gear for hours of action. Equally, there is no nicer place to simply stroll and drink in the rugged views or watch the local birds. The park has a large network of walks to explore, taking you over stiles, onto plateaus and well and truly off the beaten track! A fair few of these are wheelchair/ pushchair accessible but check before you set off.
