Attraction Information
Dame Emily Park
Named after one of the last members of the Smyth family, which provided the land, this park is a peaceful, shady retreat in the middle of busy Bedminster ideal for giving the kids a well earned reprieve from your shopping expedition, but with enough to make it worth a trip on it's own.
Facilities include a dedicated dog free playground with varied traditional play equipment suitable for the under 10s, together with a nippy little zip wire for older (or more confident) children. You can also hit the skate park for some ramp action so long as you're wearing pads and helmet, plus five a side football and basketball courts and a Permitted Graffiti Wall for them to get creative on! Just remind them it's not usually permitted elsewhere... Plus it's right next to the Deane Lane Swimming Pool so you've got the option to extend your day in pleasurable ways including a swim and picnic. Yay!
