Attraction Information
What you see at Culzean Castle's 600 acre estate today is a result of many years of careful restoration by the National Trust for Scotland, that has united the different stages of Culzean's aesthetic history. It reflects the different stages of Culzean's past, from Robert Adam's additions to the medieval tower house, to its heyday as one of the grandest houses in Scotland.
The atmospheric rooms are sumptuously decorated and intriguingly designed so imaginative children will be captivated.
The armoury display is the largest collection of its type in existence, apart from Her Majesty the Queen's at Windsor Castle. In 1812, the flamboyant and ambitious 12th Earl bought the pistols and swords from the Office of Ordnance at the Tower of London.
