There is also an extensive Nursery, a garden shop, and the Stableyard Cafe. They also have a Garden School for keen amateur's gardeners who would like to improve their skills.
The 17th century manor house, which is made of mellow Northamptonshire stone, acts a great central focus to this hillside garden, with its walls supporting climbing roses and clematis. It is landscaped on different levels, and contains a series of distinctive smaller gardens that offer variety and interest, and are enhanced by ponds, fountains, and flowing streams. There is also a magical 5 acre Bluebell wood beyond the confines of the garden, plus a colourful wildflower meadow that is at its best during June and July.
Other features include an Herb and Kitchen garden, full of culinary and medicinal herbs, old orchards that are awash with daffodils and cowslips in April, plus a lovely Woodland garden. You will also get the chance to meet some cows and some really cute piglets! So lots to see and lots to do, lots and lots of reasons to go!
